2nd Week Here We Come!!! Please remember that our Open House is this week on Tuesday Night. We will be starting at 6:00 and will be about 2 hours long. Thanks so much in advance to those of you that are able to come out and get information about our school and classroom. We are continuing to work on routines, procedures, and classroom community. It is really important to me that your students feel safe and confident in my room. I really want this to be a space where kids want to be curious and learn together. In the next few weeks we will be starting to get into our 5th grade groove, but it will take us a little while to learn the little things that help us get there. Math: Place Value Reading: Who are we as readers? Writing: Who are we as writers? Science: Scientific Method Health: Healthy Self Image

WOW! I have the best students and room mom in the world! The kids knew that Sunday was my birthday and they did the sweetest thing! They all signed a birthday card for me and surprised me when we came in from recess with a birthday song and cupcakes. Thank you Lena Carstens, you are the best room mom and we are so grateful to have you. I felt SO so special. Thank you for letting me be a part of your student's lives. I feel so lucky to get to do this job. *I am currently working on getting my FAQ's and  pages for each subject up and live on my blog. They should be ready to go by later today. Thanks so much for your patience
